White appears naturally across BROKIS collections, offering a wide range of possibilities for working with light and materials, from delicate transparency to a perfectly diffused lighting effect.
White Glass: Opaline and Triplex Opal
Within BROKIS collections, customers can choose between two types of white glass – opaline and triplex opal – each with its own distinct character and light performance. Both types are available in matte and glossy finishes across nearly fifty collections.
Opaline is a gently translucent glass with an opalescent tone that allows light to pass through naturally. The intensity of its milky appearance varies depending on the thickness of the individual glass layers. Thanks to the hand-blown process, each piece is unique.
Triplex opal is a three-layer glass with an opal layer enclosed between two layers of transparent crystal. It is characterised by excellent diffusing properties and an even distribution of light and is considered a traditional material in the field of decorative lighting.
Light in Combination with Materials
Transparent and white glass combined with light-toned materials creates a visually light and timeless whole.
Across BROKIS collections, glass can be naturally complemented by white powder coating, chrome, light travertine, or onyx, connecting light seamlessly with interior architecture.
These combinations function as a calm foundation for a space, allowing both the form of the luminaire and the character of the light to stand out. White and transparent glass can form a clean, neutral base for an interior, which can then be further accented with additional materials and surface finishes available across BROKIS collections.
White in Architectural Projects
In architectural projects, white acts as a quiet bearer of atmosphere. It does not overpower the space but allows light, proportions, and interior details to come to the fore – subtly, timelessly, and elegantly.
