BEACON IN PRAGUE

DESIGN BY LEE BROOM

‍‍

BEACON is a monumental sculptural lighting installation designed by Lee Broom and brought to life by Czech glassmaking brand BROKIS.

Originally created for London Design Festival 2025, BEACON was subsequently presented at Milan Design Week this spring in Piazza San Babila in the heart of Milan. In October 2026, it will make its Czech debut, illuminating the square in front of the Rudolfinum from 6 to 11 October as part of the international design festival DesignBlok.

British designer Lee Broom, the creator of BEACON, is one of the headline guests at this year’s DesignBlok. As part of DesignBlok Talks, he will join Max Fraser (Dezeen) for a conversation for Czech and international architects, designers, and anyone with an interest in contemporary design. The discussion will take place on Wednesday, 7 October, in the newly reopened Industrial Palace at Výstaviště Praha.
