Beacon at Milano Design Week

Beacon, a lighting installation by renowned British designer Lee Broom, will be presented in the heart of Milan at Piazza San Babila during Milan Design Week 2026.

Originally unveiled at the London Design Festival 2025 as an official Landmark Project, Beacon was first installed on London’s Southbank in collaboration with Materials Assemble. The large-scale public artwork now embarks on an international tour, with Milan as its first destination.

Located in the recently revitalised Piazza San Babila – one of Milan’s most prominent public squares – the installation forms part of a wider cultural programme spanning Via Durini and Corso Monforte. Together, these sites reinforce the district’s role as a key destination for design and contemporary culture.
